The proposed contemporary typology takes into account traditional architecture in terms of simplicity of form, as Ligurian architecture is generally characterized by very simple volumes, often referable to parallelepipeds. At the same time, it seeks to engage with the territory in a more current way, in order to create architecture that is in step with the times, considering that cities have historically developed through successive layers.

From a sociological perspective, the proposed solution also takes into account the evolution of tourism in recent years, characterized by a significant presence of foreign citizens, many of whom are now residents. The aim is therefore to promote the internationalization of the territory, overcoming a provincial outlook by proposing a design-oriented architecture, incorporating all the details and features typical of this approach (for example, iroko wood cladding). All materials used will be natural and harmoniously integrated within the agricultural context.

This type of intervention, which approaches the environment from a more contemporary perspective, contributes to defining the future structure of the territory by introducing high-quality architecture, bearing in mind that buildings are long-lasting elements.

A flat roof will be constructed, partly green (vegetated) and partly finished with integrated photovoltaic panels or gravel, flush with the roof surface, in order to reduce visual volumetric impact and ensure energy production from sustainable sources.

All retaining walls of the terraces, including the base corresponding to the ground floor of the building, will be clad in exposed local stone. The external cladding of the house, including window and door frames, will be made of natural iroko wood boards, which will gradually weather to a grey tone, enhancing—according to our assessment—their integration into the existing context and giving the building a mimetic character. This approach also considers the presence, along the mountain front, of two large volumes aligned with the road, as well as smaller buildings with heterogeneous typological characteristics.

A pergola will be constructed on the southern façade, in the area designated as a terrace.

All external paving will be made of stone slabs or outdoor wooden decking (in the pergola area).

An underground garage will also be built adjacent to the building at ground floor level, within the existing terraced structure
